Most times, people especially young people complain they cannot start their business ideas because there is no Capital i.e money, But I want to challenge you with an Inspiring real life story I read in a Book. Here goes the story….

A mega laundry business started with an individual who knocked at a door “I can wash and iron for you, provide me water and soap and iron “he was given the entire household’s clothe, he washed, ironed and was given N1,000.He started washing for an entire block of six flats N 6,000 per week.

He hired 2 young boys and moved into the next block of 6 flats that is N 12,000/week because he did well he moved in into the next until he took on the entire estate of 36 flats : N36,000/ week and then 4 staff.

With these he started buying equipments and then he started all over again in another estate until his turnover in a month was over N100, 000.

He then stopped washing within the estates rented a shop at the heart of town, bought a truck and started bringing in clothes from about 50 families.

His new neighbors saw a track record of excellence and they started taking their clothes there…and then his turnover jumps from N100,000 to N800,000 and on and on,

There are Laws that govern the world which we can’t change,compete or contest with. It works irrespective of location, tribes, people, continents, seasons etc.
Some of the Laws are-

A, Law of sowing and reaping
B, Law of Gravity-what goes up, must come down.
C, Law of buying and selling

In life, we are either buying or selling .The world is a market place ,to be relevant and be fulfilled in Life everyone must come to the market place to trade or occupy with something. Because no individual have or known everything. Buying and selling must takes place, But we will be more happier and fulfilled about life when we are selling more than buy. To put it this way, the rich sells more than buying, while the poor buys more than selling. It is the poor than enrich the rich because they sells more than buying. 29 For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Matthew 25v29

The creator, God has blessed everyman according to different abilities with something to trade with, so nobody is empty. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.-Matthew 25:15-16

Our major assignment in Life is to discover what we are born to sell or trade with. Or else we will be occupying doing nothing or we will be helping others to sell what they are selling. Remember, your educational certificate might fail you, but what you are born to sell and deliver to your world will never fail you, because it is unique. People are ready to pay for what ever you are ready to sell it could be your ideas,abilities,skills,Talents,Knowledge and so on. See u next week.

TRUTH SERIES 20;FROM JOB MENTALITY TO WORK MENTALITY

Hope you are blessed and inspired by the last week write up on Job and work.This is the concluding Part.

Like the Israelites, against there will, they Labour for the Egyptians, Pharaoh keep them under bondage and slavery. God had to rescue the people because it was against what He originally Plan for man. He delivered the Israelites just to worship him and to set them free from bondage of Hard labour Job, because their Labouring job did not give them time to worship Him.

In our Present world, the same system is in place, we are told by our Parents to get a University Education degree and Look for a JOB, we need to break away from the Job mentality to Work mentality. Our Thinking have to change.Every one of us has a work to do. Work mentality encourages entrepreneurship. People with Job mentality Blame the economic situation, Leaders,Government, their boss etc. While people with work mentality take advantage of opportunities to implement their ideas.

As thousands of bankers lost their Job, it is a blessing in disguise as it will give some of them opportunities to discover their work. May God deliver us from the Job mentality? It is slavery. Are you doing a Job or a work?

How to break away from the Job Mentality.

1, Think out of the box, because there is no box.

2, Be creative.

3, Be a Risk Taker.

4, Be courageous to implement Your ideas.

5, Be focus, be Determine, Be committed.

6, Be Responsible. Don’t wait for the Manna.

7, Discover,Develop and Get occupy with your Skills and Abilities.

8, Have faith in God,But believe in yourself.

9,Discover your assignment.Because Your assignment define your work.

This is how the New Nigeria we all dream of will emerge ,as many of us break away from Job mentality to become employers, Pioneers, Entrepreneurs and Business Owners.

TRUTH SERIES 19;ARE YOU DOING A JOB OR WORK? PART 1

“We might not all have Job, But we all have a Work to do”

What Job is

- Job is Labour

- Job is what we do btw 8am to 6pm i.e Morning till Evening.

- Job is what you do to survive.

- Job is involve Pay as its motivation .i. e salary or wages.

- Job is Monotonous.

- Job is own by the employer.

- Job is done by the Employee or Labourer.

-Job is done in the Labour Market.

-Job is what we do for others i.e. what the employee does for the employer.

-Job is what one is ask to do.

-Job is what we look for.

“We can lose our Job, but we can’t lose our work”

Now, Let us look at what WORK is,

-WORK is doing or running your own business.

- WORK is a mental effort to bring forth the unseen.

- WORK is an idea that is not in existence before.

- WORK is creation i.e. bringing the Physical world from the unseen world.

- WORK is created by God. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested ^a]">[a]from all his work.-Genesis 2v2

- WORK is done by the employer who is the CEO.

- WORK is an assignment design for every man.

- WORK is what we discover we need to do or start.

God created the Garden of Eden; He employed Adam as an employee to carry out the Job of cultivating and maintaining the Garden.

JOB VS WORK

As God’s creation, he has created every man to be involved in a work. He has design man to be fulfilled in his place of work or assignment. The employer is not restricted by time; Location, He or she can work at anytime at anywhere. While the ones who does the Job i.e the employee, must be at the duty post whether He or she Likes it or not. He has no control over His time.
